Education Services

McLeod Center’s Drug Education School is a state-approved program under North Carolina General Statute 90-96 that allows for the conditional discharge of criminal convictions for first-time offenders accused of drug violations. Our Drug Education program is a one-week, 15-hour program that enables individuals to evaluate the role that substances of abuse have played in their lives.

Orientation is held at 3:00 pm each day from Monday-Thursday.

McLeod Centers offers a one-week, fast-track Drug Education School.
Drug Education School is held Monday-Friday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

McLeod Centers is an authorized agency to accept N.C.G.S. 90-96 cases.  Other court-ordered offenses would include examples such as Drug/Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana, Underage Alcohol, and Tobacco related offenses. There may be other misdemeanor offenses referred upon the court’s approval.

Cognitive Behavioral Intervention (CBI) is a 12-hour program focused on improving decision-making skills, conflict resolution, and anger management.  It is designed to help individuals accept responsibility for actions and behavior in order to initiate changes and new coping strategies.

Referrals for the CBI program can be made by employers, athletic programs, or other agencies that may benefit from improvement in individuals’ decision-making skills, conflict resolution, and anger management.

Court-ordered referrals can include Misdemeanor Larceny, Simple Assault, Disorderly Conduct, and other offenses that the courts approve and send for completion of the CBI program.

In order to register for this course, you must first attend a FREE orientation offered every Monday through Thursday at 3:00 pm.)-
